All items sold by Teknotik are authentic JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) parts. All engines and transmissions are high quality USED parts. Because these components are used, they will show signs of use. But we at Teknotik strive to supply our customers with only the highest quality JDM components and all engines are thoroghly inspected to ensure that failures are few and far between. The engines and transmissions are inspected before shipment from Japan, inspected and tested by our knowledgeable staff upon arrival at the warehouse and inspected again before being shipped to the customer. All engines sold by Teknotik are compression tested to verify proper internal conditions. Pictures and compression test results of the engine can be supplied to potential customers upon request.

Unfortunately due the nature of dealing in USED parts, Teknotik cannot warrant against any cosmetic defects found on the parts such as starches, dents or blemishes. Parts. Many parts subject to wear that must be regularly replaced do not include a warranty.

Some items available for sale through Teknotik may not be legal for street use; it is the customer’s responsibility to insure that any component(s) he/she installs on their vehicle complies with the legislation in their area.

Due to the fact that the JDM items sold by Teknotik were intended for use in Japan, some components such as ECU’s, distributors, and sensors may not work with the North American counterparts, it is the responsibility of the customer to research and confirm that the component he/she is purchasing will work for their application. Teknotik can not be held responsible if the component(s) sold does not work due to this.


Engine Warranty

All engines sold by Teknotik are of the highest quality, but due to the engines being “used”, very rarely a failure can occur, this is why Teknotik supplies all its engines with a 30 day start up warranty, unless otherwise specified. The provided warranty allows the customer 30 days to install and verify that the engine works as intended. The warranty does not cover any failure after the install and verification, due to the fact that the later failure could be the cause of neglect or improper maintenance. The warranty does not cover any defective/broken sensors or accessories on the engine or the transmission.

Conditions of Engine Warranty

All engines purchased from Teknotik must be installed by a licensed mechanic in order to maintain warranty status. Proof of installation in the form of a work order/invoice showing that the job was performed by a licensed mechanic and that the engine was defective upon installation is required upon any warranty claim.

Engines purchased from Teknotik must have a new timing belt and water pump installed by a licensed mechanic and proof of the installation of these parts must be supplied in order to retain warranty status.

Engine failure that is the result of improper installation, disregard of installation of new timing belt and water pump, improper engine management, or improper use is not covered, which is up to the discretion of Teknotik.


Performance Parts

Some performance parts carry a limited life time warranty and will stated the in products description, if not stated in the products description the part does not carry any warranty.


Warranty for all other Parts and Components sold by Teknotik

All other parts and components carry no warranty unless specifically stated.


Conditions of Sales

All sales on USED items are final; no returns will be accepted, except in the case of defective items. Allowance of returns on NEW parts will be handled on a case by case basis and if accepted will be subjected to a 25% restocking fee.

Warranty Claim Policy

In the case of a warranty claim, an RMA number will be issued; any return without an RMA number will not be accepted. The customer must cover the initial cost of shipping the defective items back to Teknotik’s warehouse, upon receiving the defective parts, Teknotik employees will inspect the item to verify the claims and upon confirmation will ship a replacement item and refund shipping costs incurred to customer as agreed upon during issuing of RMA number.

Teknotik will not stand for fraudulent warranty claims. All items sold by Teknotik are marked before shipping in a discreet manner. Any item that is returned that does not have our original markings will not be accepted and will be returned to sender at their expense and fraudulent charges will be ensued.
